Dear Golden West Middle School Families,
Welcome to the 2023-24 school year!
Golden West Middle School Staff is committed to our mission, vision, and providing our students with an educational program focused on the personal, social, and academic growth of our diverse student population. We inspire our students to become life-long learners as well as productive and responsible members of society.
One of the exceptional components of Golden West Middle School is the exemplary teaching staff and diverse population it serves. Many of our teachers have been at Golden West for years, which enables them to understand the needs of our student population and gives them the time to develop their expertise. We are fortunate to have so many expert teachers on our staff.
Moreover, our school has a Where Everybody Belongs program and a Student Leadership class that have each been working to include all students in activities. These groups will continue to help our students orient to our school and welcome them into the Golden West Middle School family.
We work closely with our parents' population and encourage them to speak with their children about what they learned in school each day, which will further foster their growth as learners. We invite parents to encourage students to practice school expectations by following the GWMS Mustang expectations of being safe, kind, respectful and responsible citizens.
To keep parents informed, we will periodically send messages home via our Aeries Parent Communication system and posts on our GWMS website and Facebook. I am excited to be part of the dedicated staff and community at Golden West Middle School as we continue this learning journey together!
Together, I am certain we will have an amazing year filled with fun, new experiences, new relationships and learning for all of us!
