School Site Council
The primary purpose of a School Site Council (SSC) is to bring together parents, educators, administrators, and, when appropriate, students to develop, review, monitor, and evaluate the school's improvement plan and the use of categorical funds that support student achievement. The SSC provides a collaborative decision-making structure that ensures stakeholders have input into school goals, academic priorities, and budget expenditures aligned with improving outcomes for all students.
In California, the SSC is responsible for approving and annually reviewing the school's Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and monitoring the effectiveness of programs funded through state and federal categorical funds.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and approving the SPSA.
- Reviewing student achievement data and school needs.
- Aligning expenditures with identified goals and priorities.
- Monitoring implementation of the plan.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of programs and expenditures.
- Recommending revisions to improve student outcomes.
The SSC serves as an advisory and decision-making body focused on continuous school improvement and student achievement.
There are no current board positions open, but these are public meetings in alignment with the Green Act. Please see the calendar for meeting dates.
